Cristian is on track to graduate next month and recently scored a 26 on the ACT! Since coming to DSA as a 10th grader, Cristian has maintained an average of 93 or higher in all classes, including dual enrollment at MDCC.

As a school, we are in the "business" of education. One key area of education is academics. Most people equate education solely with academics, but we see it as a much broader topic that includes character development, a faith component, and life skills.
 It is easiest to measure academic growth, which may be one reason we put so much focus on academics in our culture. Nevertheless, we measure academics to determine how we are doing educating the young men who walk through our doors. The ACT is the only tool we have to compare how our students match up with other schools. Our seniors this year have an average ACT score of 18.9 and the national average for 2023 was 19.5. One of our goals is to exceed the national average.
One way we strategically approach the academic growth of our students is by adding lower grades. A better foundation means a better chance for a student to score higher on the ACT and become well-rounded educationally. We added a 6th grade this year and are excited about the 4th and 5th grade addition this fall. I truly do believe as we continue to add lower grades, the whole educational experience for each student will vastly  improve! With this foundation and when God opens their eyes and hearts spiritually, they will have the skills to live a life that glorifies King Jesus and brings life to their neighbors. And that is our ultimate goal here at Delta Streets Academy!
